Volunteer Costa Rica
Would you like the opportunity to not only travel to a
new country, but experience the real life and the spirit of your
chosen destination? AIDE’s Volunteer programs are the perfect way to
live like a true member of the community and to fully integrate into a
new culture.
The Association for International Development and Exchange (AIDE)
provides international teach, work and volunteer placements. AIDE was
launched in August 2007 as the new not for profit sister organization
of Alliance Abroad Group (AAG), in order to expand upon the programs
historically offered by the AAG Outbound Department. As a not for
profit AIDE aims to reach a larger audience, and has more than 15
years of experience in offering programs abroad due to its affiliation
with the AAG Outbound Department. Our Goal is to create programs and
services for people that will create positive change in their
communities in the U.S. and abroad and will enhance their chances to
achieve international understanding.
We have many diverse volunteer projects to choose from throughout
Costa Rica. Whether you want to help kids through art therapy, taking
care of animals at the San Jose Zoo, or assist with conservation at
the beach in Tarcoles, you are sure to have an amazing and memorable
time in Costa Rica.
Costa Rica is Central America's jewel. It's an oasis of calm among its
turbulent neighbors and an ecotourism heaven, making it one of the
best places to experience the tropics with minimal impact. It's also
mostly coastline, which means great surfing, beaches galore and a
climate built for a relaxed lifestyle.
While on the program you will live with a Costa Rican host family.
Sharing your daily life with them will provide you with experience and
insight into the culture you could never have had as a tourist. Soon
you will become immersed in “Tico” life and live “pura vida.”
