Volunteer Peru
Would you like the opportunity to not only travel to a
new country, but experience the real life and the spirit of your
chosen destination? AIDE’s Volunteer programs are the perfect way to
live like a true member of the community and to fully integrate into a
new culture.
The Association for International Development and Exchange (AIDE)
provides international teach, work and volunteer placements. AIDE was
launched in August 2007 as the new not for profit sister organization
of Alliance Abroad Group (AAG), in order to expand upon the programs
historically offered by the AAG Outbound Department. As a not for
profit AIDE aims to reach a larger audience, and has more than 15
years of experience in offering programs abroad due to its affiliation
with the AAG Outbound Department. Our Goal is to create programs and
services for people that will create positive change in their
communities in the U.S. and abroad and will enhance their chances to
achieve international understanding.
Spend anywhere from 2 weeks to 12 months volunteering in Peru, an
ancient and wondrous land! We offer a wide range of volunteer program
possibilities such as teaching English and working with children,
providing direct assistance to local doctors and nurses and gaining
hands-on experience in the medical field, caring for eldery, and
working with archeologists to conserve and restore projects.
Peru is a fascinating Andean country alive with cultural activities.
You can marvel at the famous Inca city of Machu Picchu in the high
altitudes, and also visit nearby Cusco, Colca Canyon, Lake Titicaca’s
floating reed islands, and the city of Arequipa. On the coast you can
explore the historic metropolis of Lima and the mysterious Nazca
lines, or the lush rainforest of Manu.
