Teach Spain
Would you like the opportunity to not only
travel to a new country, but experience the real life and the spirit
of your chosen destination? AIDE’s Teach programs are the perfect way
to live like a true member of the community and to fully integrate
into a new culture.
The Association for International Development and Exchange (AIDE)
provides international teach, work and volunteer placements. AIDE was
launched in August 2007 as the new not for profit sister organization
of Alliance Abroad Group (AAG), in order to expand upon the programs
historically offered by the AAG Outbound Department. As a not for
profit AIDE aims to reach a larger audience, and has more than 15
years of experience in offering programs abroad due to its affiliation
with the AAG Outbound Department. Our Goal is to create programs and
services for people that will create positive change in their
communities in the U.S. and abroad and will enhance their chances to
achieve international understanding.
Live with a Spanish family and teach your native language (English,
German, French or Italian), in exchange for room and board. You will
generally be asked to work an average of 15 hours per week, Monday
through Friday, and have weekends and the rest of the time free to
sightsee, learn about Spanish culture and make new friends!
Spain is a country with a rich and diverse cultural history. On it’s
soil and in its people lays the imprint of the Romans, the Moors,
Colonial Spain, the riches of the Americas, countless different
regional differences, and in today’s recent wave of immigrants.
Spain’s people are as diverse as its geography, made up of mountain
ranges, alluvial plains, the Mediterranean Sea, and the Atlantic
Ocean.
