How will you benefit from undertaking an Internship?

  • A real advantage when looking for a job back in your country.

  • A reference from the organisation.

  • A hands-on perspective of an international work environment.

  • How long does it take to find an internship? With so many companies on the database, we are usually able to find you your exact requirements within 6 weeks. We do however ask for a minimum of 8 weeks notice in order to be able to give the company plenty of notice and have the programme customised in time for your arrival. If we receive your Application File within 6 weeks of your proposed arrival, there will be a non-refundable ‘Late Application Fee’.

All applicants must be:
  • Be aged 18-35 years old
  • Hold a Passport, valid for at least 4 months after your anticipated departure from Armenia
  • Be a full-time student who is enrolled on a full-time course of study at an institution of post-secondary education or a recent graduate, having gained your award within the previous 12 months. In exceptional circumstances a young professional who has a recognised degree, qualification or award that has been granted following a course of education completed after compulsory education may be considered

  • Preferably hold an International Student Identification Card (ISIC)
  • Be in good health
  • Have a reasonable proficiency in English
  • Not have a criminal record
  • Not be barred from entering Armenia

Before making the decision to apply for an Internship, you need to consider:

  • Will you be able to survive away from family or friends for the whole duration of the Internship? It is unlikely that you will be able to go home for the weekend!
  • Are you suitably mature to share your skills and knowledge with others?
  • Do you adapt easily to new situations?
  • Have you an open mind for different cultures and traditions?

Internships are a very special type of placement. A match has to be made between your skills and availability and the needs of the employer. Not everyone that makes an application will be successful because there may not be a suitable placement available that meet your requirements. In addition you need to think about the costs. Not all Internships in Armenia will pay a stipend or salary. Are you prepared and do you have the financial resources to maintain yourself in a foreign country for the duration of your time there? You are likely to find the cost of living far lower than in your own country, but you will not be allowed to supplement your finances with additional paid work, outside of your Internship.
