PROGRAMME SUMMARY
There are various Volunteer Projects and Teaching and Teaching Assistant Positions available. These are generally unpaid - some may offer a basic stipend and/or food and accommodation.
Included:
Programme administration (review / assessment / processing / transfer of documents / application support and guidance / assistance with flights and insurance matters / Ghana Guide / Phone Card / Pre-departure Orientation Manual)
Identification of a suitable Volunteer / Teaching placement
Identification and securing long term accommodation (host family / peer-stay / hostel / etc)
Visa Support Documentation
Airport ‘Meet & Greet’ in Accra and transfer to accommodation (with breakfast) on day of arrival
Up to 7 nights accommodation (with breakfast) will be provided immediately following your arrival
Five–day orientation including 2 half-day visits (cultural / medical / language / etc)
Transfer to Volunteer Project / Teaching Assignment
Visa extension processing (if required)
Full in-country support
Not included:
Costs incurred to provide documentation and/or translations to complete your Application File
Vaccination fees
Fees connected with the application for the Ghanaian visa
Medical examination cost, if required
Transfers to / from your local airport
Return travel to Accra
Travel / medical insurance

* many large-scale projects will provide meals and accommodation as part compensation for your time and efforts. Where this is not the case, you will be advised of the accommodation costs / contribution before being asked to confirm your participation. Should upgrades or different accommodation options be available, you will also be advised. You should be aware that living costs in Ghana are minimal.
