We often receive requests from students, backpackers and travellers for short-stay accommodation with families. The details shown below are offered in good faith. It is your responsibility to make enquiries with the listed contact to determine the suitability for your needs. Host Families listed here may or may not be registered with an organisation.

Here are some questions you should ask:

Are you Registered with any 'regulatory body'? (police / local authority / etc)
Have you completed a Criminal Disclosure Form and if so, are you willing to provide a copy? (not relevant in some countries)
Do you have guests on a regular basis?
Do you take guests from any particular organisation or organisations? If so, may they be contacted?
Are you willing to provide the contact details of a person who will provide a reference?
Are you willing to provide contact details of previous guests?

We are sure that there are many more questions you will wish to ask. Our advice is NOT to take up any offer of accommodation unless you are 100% satisfied with the answers you receive. Remember, your safety is a priority.

Location: DUBLIN (Ireland)

Details provided: I live in suburb on the west side of Dublin called Lucan. It's about 7 miles from the city centre. We have a very good bus service (by Irish standards) here. I have a twin en suite room and a single room available all year round. I host students of all nationalities. I work form home so I'm here a lot of the time. I live alone and I have no pets. I don't smoke. My hobbies include: travel, cooking, reading and golf.
